Laughta Brought Her A Game Because Ntitled Was In The Room

Six tracks, thirteen minutes, and a Riyadh studio session she says raised her ceiling.

Laughta has been in the MDLBEAST Radio studio at Beast House before, and she said the return felt less like a booking than a continuation.

“It feels natural, a continuation to be back here. Excited for what’s to come.”

What’s to come landed on September 10. Crème de la Flows is six tracks and thirteen minutes, produced start to finish by Ntitled in Riyadh. Here is what she told Ninyaz about it.

Six tracks. One point to prove.

The brief Laughta set herself was range.

“The whole point of this EP was really to show my versatility and what I could do on different beats, different tracks. I feel like that’s who Laughta really is, and I feel like I’ve personally grown.”

Then came the session with Ntitled, and the standard went up.

“I knew if I’m stepping in that booth, on that mic, with Ntitled, I’m gonna have to bring my A game.”

“That guy cares about each breath.”

Ninyaz put it to her that working with Ntitled means getting challenged into a version of yourself you did not know was in there. Laughta did not argue.

“His beats are very unique, and he knows how to weave my vocals around the beat. That’s the final touch of music production that sometimes gets missed, and Ntitled is a genius when it comes to that.”

Then the line that tells you exactly what kind of producer he is.

“That guy cares about each breath that goes in the middle of his beat. That’s what makes it a whole finalized product.”

Her verdict on the whole thing was not a small one. “It was like a dream come true working with someone like Ntitled.”

Why it ends on a smile

The EP closes on “Smile”, and it carries the line Ninyaz pulled out before Laughta could get to it.

“I’m Laughta, but I’m not joking.”

Why that track to close the chapter? She kept the answer about as short as the record.

“It just felt like an ending.”
