FACES Opens Its Jeddah Flagship: Glam, Two DJs and a SAR 5,000 Winner

HiFi, who played the room and shopped it, put the store itself first: “I’m actually very impressed with this new flagship store. The services that they have and the amount of brands that are in here. It went with the vibe.”

The winner: SAR 5,000, and a hamper that needed two hands

MDLBEAST Radio ran the competition on air, and Ilina Popova won the SAR 5,000 FACES hamper. It arrived heavy enough that she had to put it down mid interview.

Her version of events is the best argument for radio there is. “I was just hanging up my clothes and I heard about the competition, so I applied and I was waiting patiently.” Then the phone rang while she was out walking.

“The vibes, the best vibes in Saudi,” she said of the station. “Thank you MDLBEAST for promoting the new generation of music and vibes in Saudi Arabia. Keep up the good work.”

She had one other question, asked before anything else: where was Vinyl Mode?

Vinyl Mode has a label now

He was inside, and he came with news. Vinyl Mode has launched his own label, Vibe Generator, and its first record is already out.

“We’ve been wanting to release this record for a while, and we just thought to launch the label with this release,” he told Ninyaz, who had heard him tease the track on MDLBEAST Radio long before it landed.

That is a real shift for a DJ. Running his own label means he decides what comes out and when, and the first release being his own record sets the standard for everything that follows. There is more loaded behind it, and he is keeping the details to himself for now.

He signed off the way he now introduces himself on air: “This is the Vibe Generator, and you’re listening to MDLBEAST Radio.”

Inside the store

This is the largest FACES flagship in the GCC: 1,100 square meters in the Al Andalus district, built around services rather than shelves.

Wasim, the store’s fragrance expert, runs the fragrance bar. “Fragrance bar is all about experience,” he said. “We mix fragrance, we build your own scent.” That is The Fragrance Atelier, one of five service pillars in the store. The Skin Lab runs tech-led skin analysis, routine recommendations and expert facials. The Make-Up Studio covers Glam & Go, from a soft everyday look to full glam. There are dedicated male grooming areas, and a personalisation and gifting counter for custom engraving and curated gifts.

The reaction in the room was consistent. “It’s one of the biggest FACES I’ve ever seen,” said Omar Shabra. “The thing I liked most about it is that it’s a full experience. Not just a store you come and buy and leave.”

FACES has been in this market a long time, 20 years and 85 stores across 9 countries. The Jeddah Vibes Mall flagship is the fullest version of what the brand has become, which is the point of a flagship.
