ExperienceHigh Octane at Brew 92: Saüd Brings the Album to a Jeddah Coffee Shop
Coffee shops are turning into some of the most interesting cultural rooms in Saudi Arabia, and Brew 92 in Jeddah proved it. Saüd's album on a proper sound system, with live sets, a DJ and a podcast recorded in the room.

High Octane is Saüd’s album on MDLBEAST Records: 14 tracks that run Saudi identity through hip hop and electronic production, with a guest list that says plenty about where the Kingdom’s scene now sits.
Swizz Beatz on “Going Back to Saudi”. Busta Rhymes on “Welcome to the Camp”. Belly, Cyhi, Rapsody, Kojey Radical, Westside Boogie, Bas. Alongside them, the local voices this night belonged to: Jeed on “Bright Lights” and “Therapy”, TAC on “Preach”.
MDLBEAST Radio got the story early. Ninyaz sat down with Saüd before the album landed, when the Swizz Beatz collaboration was still something he was teasing rather than something you could stream, and he told her exactly what it meant to bring a record like that home.
The room
The listening experience did what a good one should: it made an album a shared event rather than a private one.
Brew 92 handled the coffee, which in Saudi Arabia is never just the coffee. Specialty coffee culture and music culture have been feeding each other here for years, and this was that overlap in one room, with the people who make both.
Who played
Shaolin ran the DJ set and set the tone for the night.
Jeed and TAC performed live, both of them featured on the album, which meant the room heard those tracks from the people who made them rather than off the record.
Hamzah Awsawi was part of the lineup too, and Mo Islam recorded a live conversation on site for The Mo Show, turning the night into a piece of content as well as an event.
MDLBEAST Radio in Jeddah
Ninyaz from Da3s O’clock was in Jeddah for it, talking to the artists and creators in the room.
That is the point of being there. A listening experience is a room full of the people who actually build a scene: the artist, the features, the DJ, the podcasters, the coffee brand willing to give its floor to music. MDLBEAST Radio’s job is to carry that out of the room and onto the air, across the Kingdom, so the next person hears it and decides to make something of their own.
Listen to MDLBEAST Radio across the Kingdom on 104.8 in Riyadh, 98.1 in Jeddah, 97.4 in Dammam and 87.6 in Abha, or listen live.
